Health Education England working across the South West has been formed by combining Peninsula and Severn Deaneries. Applicants for GP training have the opportunity to choose from any of the 10 vocational training schemes situated across the South West of England. The region offers something for everyone; from the stunning coastlines of Cornwall to the big-city feel of Bristol.

Peninsula and Severn have both built reputations for Innovation and excellence, and there are inspiring training opportunities across Health Education England working across the South West . As well as high standards of GP training, we are proud to offer a range of exciting initiatives, including opportunities to either enter a Global Health Placement or ST4 year.

Our recent trainee satisfaction survey shows that HESW trainees are amongst the happiest in the UK, with the majority of trainees wanting to stay in the South West of England after completion of their training.
